The Owner, Consultants of RCFC, Inc. have developed a reputation with Licensing of being able to take a facility that had many non-compliance issues and return the facility to compliance. There are many issues involved in the operation of an RCFE. Every year Chaptered Legislation is added to The Health and Safety Code. This legislation either changes or adds to the Rules of Operation which each facility needs to follow to prevent being cited for a deficiency. In addition to these new regulations, Title 22 has in-depth information as to the proper administration of the daily operation in an RCFE. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse. Ignorance of the rules can also prevent a Licensee from submitting an Appeal which would remove the citation from the facility record. Any person can go into the CCLD Office and request to see the file for any facility. Courtesy allows that you call at least 3 days ahead of time so the file can be prepared for viewing. The private personal information is removed, while the remainder of the file is given to the person who requested the review. This person will be given the reports of any visit CCLD has made to your facility. I am sure that all of us would wish to have this file shown with no bad marks available against the facility. One of the ways for this to happen is to always be fully aware of the daily operation of your facility. This includes all staff and resident files, work schedules, medication administration records, food services, Admission Agreements, Physician Reports etc. CCLD has an exact pattern for the completion of all of the forms in the facility. When areas are skipped or new forms not available in the file, the facility will be cited. RCFC Inc. is available to help with the operation of the facility in many ways. We will complete a Mock Survey to determine if all paperwork is complete and updated as necessary. We can also assist with the completion of a Plan of Correction and the Appeal Process in the event of a citation. We provide the staff training required for the proper operation of your facility and any additional training required as part of the Plan of Correction.
